St Thomas Team

Please feel free to be in touch with any of us with queries, comments or concerns.

The Rev'd Canon Kelvin Inglis, Rector

The Rev'd Canon Kelvin Inglis was licensed and installed as Rector of St Thomas's in July 2017 and made canon of Salisbury Cathedral in 2020. He was previously vicar of Whitchurch with Tufton and Litchfield in the diocese of Winchester.

The Rev'd Wendy Cooper, Associate Priest

In addition to enjoying being part of the St Thomas team and all that that brings, Wendy has for many years been involved in prayer and healing ministry. Healing, reconciliation and associated issues continue to be of particular interest, along with taking time out to just enjoy being part of God's creation.

The Rev'd Selina Deacon, Associate Priest

After training as a nurse at another St Thomas's (hospital in London) Selina was widowed after 11 years of marriage. She moved to Shaftesbury with her three daughters, where she worked until 2000. After her ordination training, she was curate in Westbury and served 10 years in the ministry in Trowbridge. After retiring to Salisbury in 2017, she became a chaplain at the cathedral and Salisbury Hospital and joined the St Thomas's team in 2019. Two border terriers, a garden, daughters and grandchildren keep her busy in what spare moments she has.

The Revd Ali Alexander, Curate

Ali has moved from Dorset where she worked as a nurse practitioner for many years. She is married and has two daughters. As a family they share a love of music in many forms. Ali is keen that all people explore their creativity in order to develop their God-given potential.

Berenice Elliott, Churchwarden

Berenice spent 11 years living in South Africa and Zambia before moving to Salisbury 44 years ago. Now retired from the NHS, she is married with 2 children, one grandson and a cocker spaniel. She sings badly with a local choir and enjoys the sense of family that St Thomas’s has in abundance.

Michael Humphreys, Churchwarden

Michael is an almost retired psychiatrist who was looking forward to resuming his former hobbies of cooking, cleaning, ironing and gardening. He's very sad that now he is Church Warden he will not have time to do this for several years.
