Quest 2020: What is it about?

Quest 2020We need to raise £2million to achieve our target.

  Why do we need £2,000,000?

St Thomas's will be 800 years old in 2020, and our best efforts to keep the building in good shape haven't been enough to fight the weathering, wear and tear of this beautiful medieval structure.

We've spent hundreds of thousands of pounds redecorating it and making it water tight and safe for parishioners, for the people of Salisbury and its visitors. But it needs more - much more - to keep it going into the future.

How are we going to spend it?

Click on the buttons below for more detail on how we need to repair, renovate and renew this great building. We want to keep it at the heart of the worship and the civic and social life of Salisbury, and improve it as a key tourist attraction for visitors from around the world.

What can I do to help?

Quest2020 gives us all a chance to help raise the £2 million that we need. It is a rewarding task, and it can be a lot of fun and pleasure too:

  • Come and enjoy the concerts, festivals and other events of Quest2020.
  • Bake a cake, serve coffee, be a steward and help out in many ways at our events.
  • Donate money! Think carefully about how much you can personally give to save this historical, inspiring and grand old building for the future.
