Christmas Tree Festival Registration 2018

2018 CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL

The Christmas Tree Festival will take place from 4th – 9th December.   It is a community display enjoyed not only by people local to Salisbury but by many who travel long distances to visit.   There is no charge to enter a tree or nativity scene, and many local organisations and charities as well as individuals, schools and play groups submit entries that display the essence of their work and convey the message of Christmas in a wide variety of artistic and imaginative ways.  Admission is free but donations are welcome as visitors leave.

Benefitting Charities
This year the two charities selected are Wessex Cancer Trust – Salisbury a local centre providing free information, support and a listening ear to all who have been affected by cancer and Safe Haven, a support group for women who have experienced abuse or violence.  Thanks to the generosity of visitors making donations and the profits from the Festival café these charities will receive an equal share of the donations along with the church.

To Enter a Tree or Nativity Scene
Entries are made via this website by scrolling down to the link to the entry form at the bottom of the page.   It is very important to know the title of your entry and to have up to 20 words ready to describe it for completion of the entry form.  These words will be used for the Programme.  The entry form is now available on line from 1st September until Friday 2nd November at midnight when entries will close.

Music
There is a full programme of music throughout the week performed by individuals and groups of musicians as well as singing groups, choirs, and school choirs from both primary and secondary schools.   The music programme is as much a part of the Festival as the artistic exhibits.

Refreshments
Delicious home-cooked food is sold in the church café throughout the week and is welcome and very popular.

The time and talents of many members of the congregation and other participating organisations make the whole event possible, overseen by an organising committee.

If you have any questions about the Festival or about making an entry please contact the Organisers, John Cox and Di Emsley who can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
