St Thomas’s Lenten Appeal 2023

This year’s Lenten Appeal is for two charities: the John McNeill Opportunity Centre and the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. Find out more about them below and then donate online by clicking the blue Donate button at the bottom of the page.

The John McNeill Opportunity Centre provides specialised nursery facilities for babies and toddlers with “special needs” – most have physical and mental disablements. The centre provides stimulation to the youngsters and support to parents as well. It has a very small grant from Wilts Council; however, a sum raised by St Thomas’s would make a significant difference to them and enable the purchase of much needed equipment and to pay their bills.

The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust was founded in 1962, driven by a concern to protect local wildlife and natural habitats. Today, the trust manages over 50 nature reserves across the county. Its vision is a sustainable future for wildlife and people; it is passionate about getting people outdoors to eperience nature and to take action to ensure its protection.
